Developing the next generation of fundraising professionals: National Convention seminar
In the current economic climate, a fundraiser’s work is increasingly competitive. The Institute of Fundraising (IOF) have recognised the need to develop the next generation of fundraising professionals, as well as upskilling the present generation. Jacqui Nelson will be holding a session on this topic at the Institute of Fundraising’s National Convention 2009. Delegates will find out about Fundraising Learning Online (FLO), the background of the project and its approach to learning as well as covering the benefits for HR and Training Managers. Jacqui will be joined by a professional fundraiser who will talk about how they have used the resource.
The National Convention runs in London from Monday 6th to Wednesday 8th July. It is the largest gathering of fundraisers outside of the US. Over 2000 people attended in 2008, representing over 370 different charities from throughout the UK and Europe. More information can be found at: http://www.nationalconvention.org.uk
